CHALLENGE 4# APRIL: ANYTHING GOES

Hello, crafters!!!!

Welcome to a new challenge at Corrosive Challenge Blog!!!!

Our 4th challenge in 2017 is Anything goes!!!!!

We have two great sponsors:

About Chrishanthi:

Athens Greece artist Chrishanthi has had a passion for art from an early age. This was made quite clear to her mother, who would have to drag the young Chrishanthi to school, as she kicked, screamed and yelled  “Why do I have to go school?  I already know I want to be an artist! . . .”With the support of teachers who allowed her to draw her much-preferred little girls and small animals, it  seemed that Chrishanthi would have her way. “I was always drawing and cartooning as a youngster and all the way through college.” Her style and sense of sensitivity were heavily influenced by the smoothness of Lolita girls. After studying Painting, Graphics and Visual Design, she worked  as a children clothes designer, spending a lot of time in front of a computer screen. At some point, she picked up some gouache paints for the first time. Chrishanthi was able to hone her skills, learning the art and techniques of gouache and acrylic painting. Major influences include Magritte, Monet and contemporary artists of the pop-surrealist movement, such as Joe Sorren, Mark Ryden and Nicoletta Ceccoli. Chrishanthi currently spends her time predominately painting new works and commissions, freelancing, and has aspirations of creating/illustrating children’s books. Recently she has also started dabbling in the pop art of bringing her characters to life in the form of sculpture and resin dolls. In her current work she continues to explore surreal worlds inhabited by my uniquely bizzare creatures, cute critters and sweet girls. Her imagination and sense of life are a huge part of my work
